LssFastscanFieldMode Enum

Which parts of the LSS address FastscanAsync(LssFastscanRequest, CancellationToken) should scan, match or skip (CiA 305 §6.7 and annex A.3.4).

public enum LssFastscanFieldMode

Fields

Scan 0

Determine the LSS number bit by bit. Bit 0 has priority over bit 1.

Match 1

The number is known. One check confirms it and advances the slave.

Skip 2

Do not look at this LSS number. At most two numbers may be skipped, and the vendor-id may not. The caller has to know the resulting address still selects one slave.

Remarks

CiA 305 §6.7.1 allows skipping LSS numbers, the serial number for instance. The last number that is not skipped is confirmed with BitCheck 0, LSSSub naming that number and LSSNext 0, and per §6.7.3 that message switches the identified slave into LSS configuration, whatever the LSSSub. A slave that switches only on the serial number does not conform: it answers every step of a scan that skips the serial number and stays in waiting, so the scan reports success and the services that follow reach no slave. Against such a slave, scan or match the serial number.
